Norwegian FM praises Pakistanis’ contribution in Norway

Norwegian Foreign Minister has lauded the positive contribution of Pakistani diaspora based in Norway.

According to Radio Pakistan, this was stated by Norwegian Foreign Minister Ms Ine Marie Eriksen in a meeting with her Pakistani Counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Abu Dhabi.

The two sides agreed to increase bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Norway in diverse fields of economy, trade, investment, culture and education.

The two leaders also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, peace situation in Afghanistan as well as Pak-Afghan relations. Norway’s FM invited Shah Mahmood Qureshi to visit her country.

Both the foreign ministers are visiting UAE in connection with three-day 9th “Sir Bani Yas Forum hosted by UAE’s Foreign Minister in Abu Dhabi.

The Sir Bani Yas Forum is a regular event, where current and former foreign ministers from the Middle East, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, as well as a selected number of international policy experts and business leaders assembled to share their knowledge and understanding of emerging geopolitical challenges in the Middle East, and to discuss approaches for resolving them.
